The crystals are clear and dazzling. They hang close enough that you don't see the bulbs unless you are under the chandelier. Looks great! I put in dimmable LED bulbs and used a Feit Electric smart switch, to make it a 'smart' chandelier as well

I would recommend measuring your space and looking closely at both the height and the diameter of the fixture before deciding on what size to order. I'm very happy with this item and would recommend it to others!
